Naples - The Gallery of Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano
An exhibition site of Intesa Sanpaolo
The Gallery of Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano is now open to the public in Naples,
at the heart of the city.
It offers a chance to admire the very last masterpiece of Caravaggio’s
artistic career: the Martyrdom of St. Orsola, the last painting made by Michelangelo
Merisi in 1610, a few weeks before his dramatic and lonely death.
Intesa Sanpaolo
has devoted a special portion of the historic building to arrange an exhibition
space which co-exists with the normal banking functions. This intervention
is analogous to others – such as the Galleries of Palazzo Leoni Montanari
in Vicenza -- guided by the interest of the institution in the public enjoyment
of its artistic estate. continua »
